Gut Friendly Oats Peanut Butter and Jelly

Gut Friendly Oats

Ingredients (Serves 2) 

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2 tbsp Linwoods Milled Flaxseed
  • 1 cup of plain kefir
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup 
  • 1 cup of strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Toppings 

  • Chopped strawberries
  • Peanut butter 

Method

  1. Start by mashing the banana in a large bowl and then add the oats, milled flaxseed, kefir, almond milk and maple syrup and mix to combine. Then leave overnight in a sealed container in the fridge to thicken.
  2. In the morning, blend the strawberries into a puree and serve the overnight oats layered with the strawberry puree and peanut butter. Top with some more chopped strawberries to serve.
