They are not only delicious and festive, but they are also packed with heart-healthy nutrients that will make you feel good about indulging.

Valentine’s Day Recipe: Low-Cholesterol Pancakes

Ingredients
- 160g plain flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 250ml oat milk
- 2 tbsp Linwoods Milled Flaxseed
- 2 tbsp of maple syrup
- 250g strawberries
- Cacao nibs, milled flaxseed and yoghurt of choice to serve
Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, apple cider vinegar, oat milk, milled flaxseed and maple syrup in a jug. Set to one side for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan over a medium heat. Use a silicone or stainless steel heart shaped cookie cutter to form heart shaped pancakes. Grease the cutter with spray oil and place it into the pan.
- Pour 2 - 3 tbsp of batter into the cutter; depending on the size used. Cover the pan with a lid or piece of aluminum foil. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Remove the lid or foil and gently lift the cookie cutter up to release the pancake. You may need to give it a little wiggle or gently push the pancake with your finger.
- Flip the pancake carefully and cook for 1 -2 minutes more.
