Ingredients
For the fruit
- 3 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons coconut sugar
For the topping
- 75g rolled oats
- 75g oat flour
- 2 tablespoons Linwoods Chia, Cinnamon & Apple Flaxseeds
- 50g coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil (solid)
Drizzle
- 2 tablespoons smooth cashew or almond butter
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1-2 tablespoons almond milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and lightly grease a skillet pan.
- Place the apples, cinnamon, flaxseeds and coconut sugar in the skillet pan with a dash of water and cook for 10-15 minutes until starting to soften.
- Mix together the oats, oat flour, coconut sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Rub in the coconut oil with your fingers to form a crumble mixture. Scatter on top of the apples to cover. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until golden.
- Whisk together the drizzle ingredients until smooth and pour over. Now dig in and enjoy!
