Apple & Cinnamon Loaf


  • 100g buckwheat flour
  • 100g ground almonds
  • 50g brown rice flour
  • 150g apple puree
  • 2 tbsp dairy-free butter OR coconut oil (melted)
  • 3 tbsp Linwoods Flax, Chia, Apple & Cinnamon Powder
  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 60ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Half an apple (optional)


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 160 degrees celsius.
  2. Combine the buckwheat flour, brown rice flour, ground almonds and Linwoods flax, chia, apple & cinnamon mix in a bowl.
  3. Add the melted butter or coconut oil to a food processor along with the coconut sugar, maple syrup and apple puree. Blend together.
  4. Pour this mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients then add in the cinnamon, mixed spice, pinch of salt and baking powder. Stir well.
  5. Slowly pour in the almond milk, stirring as you do so.
  6. Line a loaf tin with baking paper and pour in the loaf mixture - spreading out evenly.
  7. Optional - Peel half an apple and cut into small cubes. Sprinkle on top of the loaf.
  8. Place the loaf in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown on top and cooked through into the middle.
  9. Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting and enjoying!
  10. TOP TIP - serve warm with peanut butter for an incredible treat.
