Apple Crumble


    For the fruit
  • 3 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons smooth cashew or almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1-2 tablespoons almond milk


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C and lightly grease a skillet pan.
  2. Place the apples, cinnamon, flaxseeds and coconut sugar in the skillet pan with a dash of water and cook for 10-15 minutes until starting to soften.
  3. Mix together the oats, oat flour, coconut sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Rub in the coconut oil with your fingers to form a crumble mixture. Scatter on top of the apples to cover. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until golden.
  4. Whisk together the drizzle ingredients until smooth and pour over. Now dig in and enjoy!
