The ingredients you will need to make the breakfast muffins are:  
• 225g Caster sugar
• 450g Self-raising flour
• 2 Dessert spoons of Linwoods Milled Flaxseed, Cocoa, Strawberries and Blueberries
• 1 Teaspoon of baking powder
• 225ml Milk
• 225g Butter (unsalted)
• 2 Eggs

Step 1 – Get your ingredients ready:
The first thing you must do is ensure your oven is turned on and pre-heated to 180C.  Then you need to get all your ingredients ready in bowls.   This makes it much easier to cook the muffins and you will also be much more organised.  It also allows you to keep a cleaner kitchen which is always a bonus.

Melt your butter in the microwave and heat your milk.  Add the milk to your melted butter and leave the mixture to cool. 
While this mixture is cooling you can start to add your ingredients to the bowl.

Step 2 – Add your ingredients:
The first thing you do when mixing your ingredients is to add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to your 450g of flour.

To this you then add 2 dessert spoons of your flaxseed, cocoa and berry seeds.

Next up is your caster sugar.  Add this to your bowl.

Once you have added the caster sugar you then stir your mixture.  To this you will then need to add your milk and butter mixture and two beaten eggs.

Once you have added your eggs, milk and butter it’s time to stir the mix together.  Use a wooden spoon and stir the mixture together until all the flour is mixed in and you are left with a brown mixture.

Step 3 – Add your mixture to a baking tray:
Once you mixture is ready you then fill a bun tray with bun cases and add your mix.  Two dessert spoons in each case should be more than enough.
Step 4 – Put your bun tray into the oven: 
Put your bun tray with the mixture into the centre of your oven.  Ensure the temperature is still at 180C and set a timer for 20 minutes.  When your timer goes check the muffins have been cooked through using a cake tester, skewer, chopstick or toothpick.  Put your skewer into the middle of each muffin and remove.  If it comes out clear then your muffins are cooked.  If there is some mixture on the skewer then leave the muffins in your oven for a minute or two more.

Once the buns are cooked right through and golden at the top you are ready to start enjoying them.  These muffins are a tasty treat that can really help you start these cold mornings in the right way.

Flavour suggestions:
